Hmm. I’m not really feeling this drama (I’m only watching it for fluff), and since other people are recapping (and up to date as well!) I think this will be my last recap for Fall In Love With me for now. I’ll still do a series review at the end, but I’d much rather prefer to spend my time recapping Pleasantly Surprised and catching up on WGM Global!
You can watch Fall In Love With Me on Dramafever here:
Everyone gets a phone call….from different major companies (Samsung, Panasonic, etc.) asking to do business! The team celebrates, and Xiao Lu looks on happily. The next day, Xiao Lu and Tao Zi head to Auntie’ Jiangs house to visit her and her family. When they return back to the office, Tao Zi hangs up a photo of them with the family to show her brother. Aw, it’s sweet how she imagines him telling her well done, and that he’s proud of what she’s done with OZ.
At home, Lu Tian Xing and Butler Fu watch OZ’s ad. Butler Fu cries while watching it, and Tian Xing wordlessly hands him a trashcan. Aw. All of a sudden, Tian Xing receives a text from Tao Zi bragging about how well OZ did with their ad. He laughs it off, and calls her up the next day to congratulate her…in a backwards manner. He says that OZ did a great job…but they relied on luck.
I have to say though, Tao Zi is one major klutz. She stood up when Tian Xing was standing over her, so of course they bash heads, making him fall, and resulting in them in a slightly compromising position. sigh.
Tian Xing has a bit of trouble later though, since Lance has decided to stop by OZ, and Tao Zi (being Tao Zi) is going to want to show off her new employee Xiao Lu who wrote the ad. Sure enough, when Lance and co. walk into OZ, they immediately do a double take when Xiao Lu says hi, and the secretary even bows to him, calling him CEO. Lance isn’t convinced he’s not Tian Xing, but then his phone rings…from Tian Xing.
Turns out it’s Butler Fu with a recording of Tian Xing on his phone, demanding to see Lance at the Tian Ji office in half an hour. Safe, but just barely!
Props guy gets told that he has to go to pick up certain props from an uncle Bo, and he panics. Apparently there’s some superstition regarding that prop store….something about it being haunted or whatever. He shows Xiao Lu and Tao Zi a supposed photo of the ghost, but only the girls are really scared.
Props guy stops Tao Zi after Miao Miao leaves to asks if he can have some time off, since his girlfriends “Big aunt” hasn’t come yet. (Big aunt is slang for period in chinese). Tao Zi agrees, and volunteers to go to the props place for him as well.
Back at his apartment, Tian Xing watches some of the extra footage from the filming, including the part where he filmed Tao Zi getting teary eyed over the family’s reunion. Butler Fu knows what Tian Xing hasn’t quite realized yet, and smirks knowingly. Tao Zi calls up Tian Xing to say that she has his money for the watch, and demands a meeting the next day.
At the meeting, Tian Xing gets up close and personal with Tao Zi, irritating her enough that she put her phone down and forgot it. Tian Xing picked it up, and sees Props guy call her on her phone, and then Xiao Lu’s phone to asks if she’s okay at the props storage garage.
At the props place, Tao Zi goes into the store to find a magic lamp prop, but the owner doesn’t hear her properly when she waves hello in passing, and thinks that she’s saying goodbye. Thus, he starts to pack up to go home, missing Tian Xing coming in, and locking them both in. Of course, Tao Zi and Tian Xing end up bumping into each other in the store, and there’s a moment of
cliché pretty fake snow falling as they gaze into each other’s eyes. Lord this girl is clumsy.
Tao Zi’s family and team members are worried that she isn’t picking up her phone, and that she hasn’t made it home yet. They decide to go out searching for her, and Leo is noticeably panicked.
Tian Xing grabs a blanket for them to share, and they sit on the sofa talking. At one point they hear a rustling noise, and Tao Zi jumps into his lap because she thinks it’s a mouse. Tian Xing takes advantage of the situation to prolong the contact 😛
Leo’s still out looking for Tao Zi, but both their phones have no signal so he’s having no luck. Speaking of phones, Tian Xing sneaks a selfie with Tao Zi the next morning, and then hurriedly hides his phone when she starts stirring. Just admit you like her already!
The props storage garage owner apologizes profusely to Tao Zi and Tian Xing the next morning, and Leo runs in a few minutes after they leave. The owner tells him that he just missed Tao Zi, and that she was with the guy on the magazine cover. Leo doesn’t look happy.
As Tian Xing and Tao Zi walk to breakfast, he notices that her shoe is again, untied. Maybe this is why she is so dang clumsy. He kneels down to tie it for her, to her shock/deja vu.
Alright, so the romance is warming up, but the chemistry is still lacking for me. Leo’s loveline is pretty pitiful, and while I do feel bad for him (I’ve been in that situation before), all he does is make sad faces. I’m not saying he should go after the girl when it’s clear she likes someone else, but he doesn’t have to have the same mopey face in every scene.
Also….how was Tian Xing not gotten caught yet????? Sheesh.
